-Finds old picture frame w/o a case on the wall; supposedly has powers
-Touches painting frame on a dare from his friends
-neutralizes its ability to preserve what's kept in it; start of awakening
-Curator chases him & his friends out
-Curator ALSO belongs to The Praetors, ancient org which keeps watch over The End
-Sam & friends placed under surveillance to figure out WHODUNNIT
-Sam found to be the cause, then trailed by Praetors
-Originally waffling on whether to observe or kill to reset, they opt to observe!
-Sam assigned a kinda-secret-not-so-secret guardian-dude named Nic!
-Nic Does Not Trust Sam and thinks that deep down he must be The Evil!!! but Sam's a dork instead
-Basically a glorified babysitter oops
-Eventually despite their best efforts, Sam winds up running into a girl whose escaped from the Praetors
-Girl (Niyati) has an ability which negatively affects people around her! Sam immune obvs
-He helps her run from Praetors!! and though neither of them knows why being around Sam stops her ability
-Nic catches up to Sam & Niyati and he is like I KNEW YOU WERE EVIL but Sam just wants to help Niyati which makes babysitter very ????
-He can't technically explain shit to Sam but he's like this will just make you worse!! And Sam doesn't get it bc if his neutralizing gets stronger it'll help Niyati?? And get rid of her badpowers
-Praetors catch up and are like wow Babysitter Nic you're bad at your job huh
-They go to take Niyati in again but Sam says wait!! because he can help her and if he does that it's good for her right???
-Praetors are like uhhhh babysitter is like uhhhh and Niyati is like ;A;// and Sam's like GONNA HELP HER
-Everyone is grounded and Praetor council gets together all BABYSITTER PLS...
-But Nic's Boss is like "we could use this to our advantage you know..." because they always spend all their time trying to get rid of shit on their own and keeping The End AWAY FROM STUFF
-Why not use him to get rid of that stuff and then kill him when he becomes a liability?? Maximize Sam's usefulness while they can since he's started waking up anyway
-Praetors kind go HRMMMM but eventually Boss gets his way and Nic is told he's gotta keep a sharp eye on Sam forever after
-Meanwhile Sam & Niyati get released and told that they can stay together for now...like, until he can stop her ability completely.
-So Babysitter picks him & girl up and takes them back and kinda sorta explains things?? Like Niyati is SUPER-UNSURE about the Praetor Org but Sam sees a chance to help her so he is down with working with them to help people like Niyati
-A TRIO IS FORMED
-They go on cute supernatural missions and Sam thinks he is helping by doing all the shit he do
-They help a cursed dude, stop some crazy power-people, FIGHT AN EVEN MORE EVIL ORG?
-Only they're not super-evil they're just opposed to the Praetors and want to protect magic and ppl with abilities and stuff
-Shit goes down and they kidnap Sam intending to figure him out/get rid of/kill him because of the effect he has on all their magic shit
-But Nic and Niyati come to the rescue EVEN THOUGH HE SHOULD'VE LET THEM OFF SAM PERMANENTLY, REALLY.
-One of the dudes kinda begrudgingly defects and joins them bc he has no choice really...SO THEY ARE NOW A QUARTET
-As a result of Magic org Sam's powers grow stronger and he can stop Niyati's powers without having to touch her anytime they try to surface
-Sam & Niyati are happy!! Though Niyati is slowly starting to get a handle on them & wants to use them to help the Paranormal Detective Quartet
-They do more detective work & start going after dangerous monsters and artifacts and that's when they encounter the dudes that manipulated Magic Org as their grunts
-BIG BAD wants to get rid of Sam for good so they go after Nic and Traitor-ally and Niyati to separate him
-Sam powers up AGAIN and can completely nullify shit permanently if he touches it/gets a stronger aura
-He uses this to cure Niyati!! Who is conflicted because she wants to be able to help them but now she is just normal
-Nic frets into the sun because Sam's abilities are growing and that is not good and Traitor is like dude.....
-Praetors consider the mission a success tho and tell him STAY THE COURSE UNTIL HE STARTS AFFECTING NORMAL PEOPLE
-Which of course he does once he encounters the physical manifestation of Creation?? who is his counterpart basically and who works for BIG BAD
-The two of them come into contact with one another which does CRAZY SHIT and messes up Sam's head to the point where he loses himself for a little bit
-But Nic, Traitor and Niyati manage to snap him out of it and they make a hasty retreat!!
-Creation and his dudes are still after them though, only no one knows Creation is Creation except themself?? And they are on a mission to release The End bc Creation thinks IT'S ABOUT TIME
-Sam asks Nic like what is the deal here who was that guy and what happened to me and Nic doesn't want to tell him...
-Because he's gotten attached to Sam?? Like he recognizes that he really is just a kid and they're using him for some pretty shitty purposes
-But he winds up telling him about The End anyway and what he really is and Sam is just so upset over it
-Sam runs away, not wanting to deal with it and not believing it but when he starts to pay attention he realizes he's like, affecting grass and stuff
-And Creation ofc finds him when he does and explains THE REAL REASON BEHIND CREATION & DESTRUCTION and that Sam is a necessary force of the universe
-But Sam doesn't want to be??? He is just him and he doesn't want to end everyone he cares about
-Creation says they'll be gone soon anyway, humans don't live very long. And they plan on killing him anyway
-Sam tells him to SHUT UPPPP BABYSITTER IS HIS FRIEND and shonen speeches happen
-Creation & Sam start to fight; Creation to wake up Sam and Sam to stop Creation from manipulating everyone
-Nic arrives during the fight and can see Sam's getting closer and closer to the tipping point which is just what Creation wants?? And Creation's doing a way better job
-But bc Creation underestimates humans Nic is able to step in and WOUND CREATION and stop the fight
-Only oops Creation was kind of dying anyway?? and as he passes he's happy because he can tell that soon The End will come and they will return to their rightful places
-And he's kinda right, Sam's lost a lot of himself during the fight and can barely remember who is is anymore
-His powers start going all wonky too and Shit Gets Real even though Nic tries to snap him out of it etc
-Sam starts ENDING THINGS AROUND HIM and that's when Traitor and Niyati show up and protect Nic from being undone by Sam's powers?? And Niyati's being there sparks something and he looks at all of them and feels this nostalgic sort of sadness and regret??
-He doesn't really get it though but just enough of it breaks through (even though he's started to transcend his mortal form) and Sam realizes he's hurt people he loves a whole lot
-So he apologizes to them, the people he can't remember but wants to protect more than anything else
-Because he only wanted them to be happy and Nic knows he should kill him but he can't, and Sam sees him all bitchtears and Niyati is bitchtears and Traitor is like YOU DAMN FOOL and it's a huge mess
-But Sam knows that he's going to wind up killing them + everyone else if he isn't stopped, so he chooses to kill himself to protect them from what he'll become
-EVERYTHING'S REALLY FUCKING SAD FOREVER
-Years down the line Nic winds up becoming the head of the Praetor Org and Niyati is in charge of looking after and caring for people with abnormalities. Traitor is like head of covert ops or enforcing or something
-They basically reshape the whole gd organization to not only find the next End when they're born, but to look after them and protect them in the way they never managed to for poor Sam :c
-Creation and Destruction reincarnate, and the cycle begins again
